Christmas Lightings
The Christmas tree at Takashima Shopping Centre is decorated with Crystal ~ simple yet elegant.
We were hanging outside at ION Orchard and waiting patiently for the light-up.
Wow! The Christmas tree is so lovely ^.~
Beautiful ~ the yellow lights look like jewels ~ Blink Blink *v*Everyone started to snap several photos outside the mall and street.

The blue and white color lightings just magically transform the usual Orchard Road into a sparkling and dazzling street.
Christmas is my favorite festive season and time of the year (o^^o)

Weekend Baking ^.~

Here are the main ingredients ~ avocado (get those ripe ones), digestive biscuits for the cake base and 2 blocks of cream cheese.
Instead of crushing up the biscuits with our bare hands, we use the food processor which is faster and less messy.
Mix the melted butter into the crushed digestive biscuits. Then firmly tapped and pressed the mixture in the tray. Li has a baking tool which I think it is for smoothing cream on a cake. She bought it for pressing the crust and it really worked as it was much easier than using the back of a spoon.
Smashing up the riped avocado ~ so creamy & yummy! The centre photo is the lemon juice.
2 blocks of cream cheese ~ beat with sugar till it's thick, smooth & creamy!
Thereafter, follow to mix in the eggs, cornflour, lemon juice and avocado mixutre.
Pour the avocado cream cheese mixture into the trays and then into the hot oven.
This was my first time baking a cheesecake. Li thought me the waterbath baking method. I went online to read about this baking method. Just realised that this technique helped the cake to bake gently, without cracking. The french term is known as Bain-Marie.As there were time for other baking so we went on to bake lemon ginger drop cookies and muffins.
Baking is indeed fun and fulfilling ~ my weekend was well-spent Wo0OHoo0OO!

MeRrY ChRiStMaS
I decided to have our dinner at a neighborhood restaurant instead of going to town which could be crowded, long queue and also dinner prices tend to be little more expensive during Christmas.
Well, I did not make the wrong choice of going to Joe's Kitchen Thai Cuisine for our Christmas gathering. When we reached the restaurant, our wine glasses and cutlery were all set neatly on our table. I brought 2 bottles of wine since there was no corkage charge (unless you broke their wine glasses ~ please pay, hehe!) They got my wine chilled and even allowed my log cake placed in their fridge. Such great service in a nice little restaurant ~ Awesome!
With such great company of friends, delicious food and good wine, it definitely made my Christmas a super duper enjoyable one. Wooohooo!

I also bought another fruity red apple sparkling wine with 6.5% alcohol content which I forgot about the label name. But it tasted very refreshing and zesty.
Cheers to my dear friends for a great year ahead & bottoms up!
It's little sourish and those chili padi make it spicy too.

It has served with toppings such as fried egg slices, onions, coriander leaves, ginger, cashew nuts, lemon pulps and chili padi.

See the generous ingredients were almost all swept out, haha! The soup was just so0O appetizing and the color was appealing too. Do you want some too? hehe ^0^

The vermicelli is simmered with the flavor of crab and fatty pork bits ~ Wonderful taste ~ I'm salivating now ^0^

Thumbs up as the prawns are de-shell ~ haha!
The log cake was put in a lovely red box with a frosty snowman on it ~ so cute.

~ Simply delectable ^.~
I shall order it again for my next Christmas party!
Here's a glimpse of a few lovely presents from Naoko-chan, JC, Geok & Lyn.
Thanks so0O much ~ MAUCK MAUCK!
Just uploaded this pic ~ more prezzies ^-^Nenrinya's Baumkuchen is so popular that the shop is always having long queue ~ Naoko-chan mentioned that it could take almost an hour for waiting. I also remembered that there was a shop at Ginza and people would just queue for long hours to get the delicious Baumkuchen.
