HongKong B'fast ~ 香港早餐 ~

I'm still in my holiday mood and cannot keep up my momentum in workI wish my vacation could extend much longer Anyway, I shall continue to blog on my HK trip and there are still many more pics to be edited

This post shall be showing the breakfast which I had in HK. Although the meals in HK may cost a little more but the food portion given is very generous. It's so filling that I can actually skip my lunch and just have a tea snack.

Tsui Wah Restaurant (翠华餐厅) is just around a corner where my hotel is located. The restaurant is always crowded and popular with the local diners. There are many choices in the menu and every dish seems delicious. Their service is good and fast. Food and beverage serve piping hot!

This is their signature cup serving the tea/coffee Saw my cup of YuanYang 鸳鸯 (coffee and tea mix) ~ fill it up to the brim and overflow. Generous or wasteful ^-^

My fave ~ 波罗包~ a bread which I can have it for my breakfast every morning hehe!

~ This is a healthy choice for breakfast ~ I love the soup!

My friend ST ordered this plate of QQ noodles with prawns ~ the prawns are big, fresh and crunchy!

These were another set of breakfast which I tried @ Tsui Wah ~ 波罗油，macaroni with shredded ham and abalone, toast plus 2 "Sunny Side Up"

How can I miss HK Dim Sum as they are just simply delicious ~ I went Kirin Heen which is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from my hotel. The restaurant is big with simple interior in ivory color. The locals enjoy Yum Cha so the restaurant is crowded in the morning especially on weekends.

To our surprise, the century egg fish porridge was served on a big hot claypot! How can we finish by the 2 of us. They were indeed generous with the ingredients

My friend and I went to try the noodles with egg and minced meat; and laksa at Toastbox in HK ~ it caters more to the local taste which is rich in flavour ~ a little salty.

LAKSA ~ the gravy is thick and flavourful but it's oily :(

Hong Kong's Snacks and Desserts

There was occasional rains on the first 2 days when I arrived in Hong Kong (HK). For the rest of the week, the weather was hot and humid which I felt thirsty and dehydrate easily :( Luckily, there are many stalls selling cold beverages and desserts in the shopping malls and streets which I can grab to quench my thirst ^.~ Although the unbearable heat made me discomfort and moody but I still took photos of what I drank and ate to share in my blog hehe ^0^

It was raining quite heavily on my 2nd day in HK so ST and I decided to shop in a mall and went to 旺角中心 (Argyle Centre). The stuff sold in Argyle Centre were cheap and the quality of accessories and clothes were not too bad *v* One thing I like shopping at this place is that we can bargain ^.~ The not so good thingy is that we are disallowed to try on the clothes to see if fit on us :( Anyway, the stuff were good buys so we just went ahead to buy what we liked ^.~ We did not miss out any single shop in the Centre. We done so much walking until my legs were cramped and tired. Also, I almost died of thirst (not hunger) haha! We decided to take a rest and found Happy Lemon on the 1st floor in the Centre. Apparently, Happy Lemon is very popular among the youngsters.

There were many people crowded around the stall so I had to move back and took a pic of their signboard :P We waited awhile before we collected our cold beverages.

ST chose Lemon Honey Juice which is refreshing and full of vitamin C. I bought Pearl Sago Milk Tea. The tea is thick and fragrant; and the pearls are QQ. The cups look kawaii too ^.~

Crispy outside and Soft inside. Taste ~ not sweet.

I love EGGs ~ so how can I miss egg tarts, right! These tarts are from Tai Cheong Bakery （泰昌饼家） As the tarts are freshly baked and just out from hot oven, they are so many people queuing to buy few boxes of the tarts.

MacDonald's in HK. The burgers really cater to Chinese taste ~ yummy!

Another popular dessert chain ~ 许留山 (Hui Lau Shan) and
they are famous for their mango desserts.

ST and I ordered the mango beverage topped with coconut milk and jelly.


Sob Sob :( ~ Now how can I stop my cravings for these goody snacks and desserts :(
