This update will continue from my previous post.

After blasting our voices at the K-room, we proceeded to Jumbo Seafood at The Riverside Point for dinner.

Drunken prawns ~ fresh crunchy prawns and the soup is very tasty.

Man Tou (Deep Fried Buns) to dip with the gravy ~

Scallops wrapped in yam rings

Spinach Tofu with Mushrooms

Crispy Fried Baby Squids

 Spicy Mee Goreng

This is the best way to taste if the crabs are fresh. You can taste the sweetness of the chunky crab meat.

Crabie is posing for me....hehe (o^^o)

Happy New Year to All fireworks smiley Hope you had a great time during this festive season. Have you made any resolution for Year 2012?  There are too many in my list and I hope that I can realise a few resolutions and one of which is aiming to keep fit Exercise Smilie and not hitting on more kilos :(  It may be difficult but I will try to be more discipline. Please

Well, let's return to my today's post on my New Year eve's feast with my colleagues.  We had our lunch at  Brussels Sprouts, Robertson Quay.  It was a cosy Belgian bar and bistro where you could choose to dine inside the restaurant or alfresco dining.  That day, the weather was hot and sunny; and there was no aircon in the restaurant but luckily, we had our icy cold Hoegaarden and root beer to quench our thirst and made us feel cooler

Open concept with a bar counter in the centre of the bistro. We sat on high cane chairs and tables which I don't really like sitting on it. Perhaps I'm too short11..haha!

Cute beverage coasters

King Crabscrabs on Toast ~ yummylicious!

After filling up our empty stomachs, we continued our celebration at the karaoke and sang till our hearts out.

Homecooked Food (*^_^*)

The poll for the Presidential Election 2011 was on 27 August and I was simply excited about it as i just cast my virgin vote Animated Emoticons After I did my voting, I met up with my makan kakis and went to BL's house for dinner and gather to watch the live telecast of the Presidential Election result on TV. We had planned an enticing menu for our dinner ~ with such delectable food and great companies of friends ~ what could we ask for more ~ Animated Emoticons

Chilli Crabs ~ Our chef had put too much tomato paste and it turned out not spicy as what we wanted. But we applaused for his effort and getting all the fresh ingredients Animated Emoticons

Another good job done by our chef's wife ~ Green Salad with tomatoes and pine nuts. Fresh leafy greens and she also bought an organic herbs and spice salad dressing which was very refreshing.

Dried Mee Siam ~ This was a recipe which Linda wanted to cook. It seems an easy recipe but frying the bee hoon was not easy. Anyway, that would leave to our chef to handle it ~ haha

Ngoh Hiang ~ These super yummy minced pork rolls were made by BL's mum. The minced pork was well marinated and I like the crunchiness of the finely chopped chestnuts in the rolls. Thanks to Auntie and I had brought home 5 pieces to cook for my tomorrow's lunchCute Emoticons

Stir-fried Chilli Squids ~ The squid texture was just nice and not overly cooked.
Very appetizing!

Garlic Clams ~ Very fragrant and I could slurp up many at one go ~ Yummy!

This is another recipe from Linda ~ Thumbs up for this dish as the sauce was so creamy and flavorful. The big juicy prawns absorbed the sauce flavor and tasted heavenly good. This was the first dish that we all eaten up.Emoticons

There was another delicious dish which I did not take a photo ~ Crispy Prawn Paste Chicken Wings.Animated Emoticons Yet another popular dish as all of us were licking our fingers and asked for more servings.

After eaten our main dishes, we had grass jelly (oops ~ no photo) for dessert which J & C bought from Alexandra Village Food Center. So far, that's the best grass jelly I have tasted. The grass jelly has mild herbal taste and it's so cooling after eating it since we had so much heaty food.

Next, our chef and wife bought us the delicious soft swiss rolls (orange and durian flavors) from Rich & Good Cake Shop @ K
andahar Street.

Wow! We really ate a lot for the night and felt utterly full after such a scrumptious meal

G7新馬活海鲜楼 ~ G7新馬活田鸡 ~ G7 SINMA GROUP OF RESTAURANTS

A cold and very wet day on Sunday and I would love to have piping hot food to warm myself. My friends and I decided to have dinner at G7 Sinma Restaurant at Geylang Road Lorong 3. I have not been there for some time and wondering if their food standard is still as good as before. Here's the dishes which we ordered for 4 persons.

Egg Tofu with Minced Meat ~ Silky Smooth

Their signature Claypot Frogs which are cooked with Ginger Spring Onion.
The frog legs are the best parts to eat as they are meaty and tender.
You may find it disgusting to eat them but it is delicious. I heard it is nutritious too.
The taste is like chicken meat and they do not smell bad.

Here's another pot of frogs cooked with Kong Bao Sauce.
There are also other methods of cooking the frogs ~ Stir-fried, BBQ, Grilled and Stewed.
We usually prefer to buy the frog legs which I earlier mentioned
that there more meat as compared to the body parts.

Look at this starchy porridge
~ so yummy especially goes with the sauce from the Claypot Frogs.

Sweet and Sour Pork ~ Tangy taste with the ketchup and pineapple slices.
This dish can really increase my appetite ~ I want more food ^0^ LOL

Broccoli with scallops, mushrooms and capsicum.

I love seafood and crabs are one of my favorite. Sometimes dining at
Zi Char stalls or Seafood Restaurants, I have cravings for crabs.
But I just can't be bother or rather lazy to eat crabs as it can be messy and
hassle to eat them. I will need the cracking tools to open the crab
claws and its other body parts; and then slowly dig/pull out the crab meat.
Therefore, I would prefer to order crab dishes such as appetizers, crab cakes, soup,
croquette which they come in the form of meat and not the whole crab ~

Whenever I order Chilli Crabs, I would not miss out my order of
the Man Tou (Fried Buns). I will dip it with the gravy. It's delicious!

Overall, their signature Claypot Frog Porridge and the rest of our food did not
disappoint me ~ They are as tasty and flavorful as before. I will definitely
return to try other dishes on their menu ^.~
